    So in order to be consequent,
    we should allow @heading nodes, too. 

@heading has nothing to do with nodes or structuring.  It simply
produces a heading, no more no less.

@node foo
@heading foo

is (I believe) and should be (I believe) treated exactly the same as

@node foo
Blah blah blah
@heading foo
