Please someone do something about all this spam that reaches
help-texinfo !
I don't maintain the mailing list and don't know who does. In any case,
I doubt help-texinfo is any different from any other GNU mailing list.
Couldn't the mailing list be changed so that only subscribed people
can post?
No, because the whole point of the mailing list is that anyone can mail
to it and ask for help. Or someone has to approve the non-member
postings.
Personally I recommend spamassassin ...
