Yes, but that doesn't pinpoint the place in the Texinfo source where TeX 
choke, and without a .log file (which I don't have since it doesn't fail 
for me ;-), it will take some tinkering to understand that.  I thought 
you could show the exact location in gnuprog2.texi where it barfs.
