Nope, one is 1x51 and the other is 51x1.

By using @ functions, it's harder to debug this because you can't put tests/printouts into them, so I redefined them to use the function trapz_debug, and defined it like so:

function f = trapz_debug (a, b)
  size (a)
  size (b)
  f = trapz (a, b)
