        'ls' doesn't deliver any information. The filename list is expected but 
no
answer. Look at below the example
>> ls
>> ls perl
>> ls *.*
>> ls *.m
>> ls *.*
As you can see, no answer...despite in the directory, many files.m are
present.

something fails but what?
