A litte bit a clearer question is always useful if one asks for help.
I see in my crystal ball, that you run Ubuntu 16.06 and have built a release of
Octave. Right?
If right, why you didn't say so?
In the case you described, go to "edit", there "preferences" and then
"terminal". In the first line there,
look at "font size". Changing it helped me, if it not works at the first try,
play around with the values.
