Vlad, here's a link [1] to the more recent expint. you can just save
it in your working folder or overwrite the one in Octave. the original
bug report [2] also called out large errors with imaginary inputs. If
this also fixes the problem I would suggest just making use of it.
That'll avoid any copyright concerns with Numerical Recipes.
