Run octave script using PHP in windows

I installed *Octave 3.6.4*. I created an octave file *sample.m*.The content
of file is

/log10(100)/log10(10)/

Now I want to execute this file using php. For this I wrote a php scrip*
test.php* the test.php contains

/$cmd = 'octave -qf --persist --path C:/wamp/www/dspace/
--eval("sample.m")'; 
$ex = passthru($cmd, $output); 
var_dump($ex); 
var_dump($output);/

But the result getting is

/null
int 1/

What is wrong in my code. Please help me..

I am working in *windows 8 *mechine.
