This is what terminal says when i try to run

Hi,

octave has a GUI, but it is still in development and as far as I know
not started by default. Thus the standard interface is via a terminal
window. If you have some welcome Message from octave in the terminal
everything should be fine. If not, you must provide some more details.
What does the terminal contain?

I don't have a mac system so I have to guess here. To me it seems as if you get a working prompt. Entering something like 1+1 should return 2. Concerning the warning, I don't know what it is related to.
