Which version of octave do you use ?

1. octave 3.6.4 msvc build
2. octave 3.6.4 mingw build
3. octave 3.8.x mingw(MXE) build

From what you wrote, I think that you are using octave 3.6.4.
But there are two different kind of build.

Replies depend on which version octave do you use.
