Octave Forge website is down / pkg -forge will not work

Hi everyone

the Octave Forge website is currently down.

Because of the way pkg works, the use of "pkg install -forge" will
fail. Packages can still be installed the "old way", i.e., by
downloading the tarball manually [1] and using "pkg install
path-to-package.tar.gz". The source repositories are still up as
always before [2, 3].

The other service provided by the Octave Forge website is the
documentation. In the mean time, you can use Octave's "lookfor",
"which", and "demo" commands.
