3.8 GUI documentation tab: click link freezes Octave

I'm running on openSUSE 12.3 with Octave from the Science repo. All
seems to be well, except that if I try to click any link in the GUI
Documentation window, Octave freezes up without any feedback. Force quit
is ok and Octave restarts ok. The regular documentation approach from
the command window is fine.

Just wondering if I am missing a required package, or is this one of the
areas which will start working in 3.8.1?

Right now I just run the GUI with no Documentation window, not a
problem.
