I feel stupid, now it builds & installs fine. Thanks again!

When I try to run the Poisson equation example, Octave now crashes with

  /usr/local/bin/octave-cli-4.1.0+: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/openmpi/lib/openmpi/mca_paffinity_linux.so: undefined symbol:
mca_base_param_reg_int

This is presumably the same problem as [1] and [2], and seems to be a
problem with OpenMPI and not Octave.

  [2] http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/newsreader/view_thread/308346

Does anyone know an easy solution for this by chance? I do not really
need MPI, but I guess that I can't just "disable" using MPI for
fem-fenics, right?

I can try to build OpenMPI myself as a static library and see if that
helps if this is not a problem with a well-known solution.

Yours,
Daniel
