Hi guys,
with "does not work" i meant that "sudo port install octave-devel
+atlas+docs" gives:

Error: Unable to open port: invalid command name "compiler.blacklist-append"

while "sudo fink install octave-dev" gives
We don't support updates from 10.7 to 10.9.
Check the 'Clean Upgrade' section of /sw2/share/doc/fink/INSTALL
or /sw2/share/doc/fink/INSTALL.html for information about
how to proceed.
'install' operation not permitted.

i've already been told that maybe this problem is related to the fact that
i've recently updated my OS to 10.9 and that i should ask for answers in the
appropriate forums so i don't want to bother you longer about this :)
(well, of course if you had some fast solution it would be more than welcome
:) )

Anyway, what i wanted to tell you now it that I managed to install the
version 3.4.0.
This is not enough to use the statistics package 1.2.2
http://octave.sourceforge.net/statistics/
but i tried to use the -nodeps flag and it worked giving some warning
messages.
Now I can use the package, and there are lots of functions...but
unfortunately there's not the function dendrogram which should be there!

Is it possible to properly install an older version of the statistics
package (without making use of the -nodeps flag) that also works with 3.4.0
version?

Thank you again.
