problems installing openmpi_ext

Hello again,

Thanks for the advice.

I removed the two items you suggested, removed octave364 and octave364-dev with 
fink.  Then I reinstalled them and installed the packages using fink.  
Unfortunately, I still get what to me looks like the same error, see below.

It took a lot longer for the serial part, maybe a good sign maybe not.  Sorry 
to bug you but if you have any other suggestions I'm happy to try them.
