Yes, I am planning to open-source the interface. Octave Online is the
product of over two dozen open-source projects (mostly X11 and a few BSD),
from the MV* framework to the online code editor, and I too wish to give
back to the community. Methinks it is best, though, if I first let the site
mature out of beta.
Two of the custom components used in the site (the upload mechanism and the
layout mechanism) have already been open-sourced. You can find them on my
github.
