OK, thats cool,
I expected help with how to get in touch with the development team for octave, but I not only got that, but also german spelling support for my auto signature.

Thank you for everything. I have changed the signature and will write a mail to address@hidden to get the bitcmp function corrected in future releases.

You probably mean "Mit freundlichen Grüßen"?  If so, you might want to
fix the typo. ;)
