Here are some observations on the 3.7.2+ command window:

1.  The cursor controls in Terminal Preferences don't seem to work.  No
matter what is selected, I get a solid white block for the cursor.

I believe this is already fixed in development sources.

2.  The cursor appears in the incorrect location for fonts other than Lucida
Console and 8514oem.

The terminal widget can only work with monospace fonts. Those 2 fonts are monospace, that's why they work fine.

3.  For font sizes less than 11, the rightmost text seems to disappear.  For
example entering zeros (30) at the command prompt causes columns of 25 zeros
to be printed followed by columns 29 and 30.  This means columns 26, 27 and
28 don't appear.

I'm not sure about this problem. This requires further testing to see what's going on and reproduce it.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Re:  Item 1:  I’m sorry but I don’t understand what it means to be fixed in development sources.

Re:  Item 2:  It is my understanding that Consolas is also a monospace font yet it does not work.

Re:  Item 3:  This problem is easy to see on my machine.  When I first start Octave 3.7.2+ the introductory message is chopped off along the right margin.  My command window font is 10 pt. Lucida Console.
