I installed 'libtirpc-devel' and 'libtirpc1' (versions 0.2.1-1) and reinstalled instrument-control. Same results unfortunately.

Do you have 'libtirpc-devel' and 'libtirpc1' installed? If not, please install and reinstall instrument-control.
