more issues:

- "pkg rebuild -auto" does not seem to trigger autoload of packages on application startup (not observed in MinGW build)
- trying the MinGW builds failed either, running several functions generates an error message box from Windows entitled "octave.exe - Invalid Image",  message box body is "Octave3.6.4_gcc4.6.2\share\octave\packages\tsa-4.2.4\i686-pc-mingw32-api-v48+\sumskipnan_mex.mex is not intended for execution with windows or contains an error". In fact I could not even find the file ...

Is there any kind of continuous testing / dashboard (see http://www.cdash.org/)?

Thanks,
Ingmar

Dear all,

I'm posting to both lists since I am not sure which one is better suited.

I tried to install octave 3.6.2 and 3.6.1 Visual Studio builds: http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave%20Windows%20binaries/Octave%203.6.2%20for%20Windows%20Microsoft%20Visual%20Studio/octave-3.6.2-vs2010-setup.exe/download and http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave%20Windows%20binaries/Octave%203.6.1%20for%20Windows%20Microsoft%20Visual%20Studio/

According to their README files several packages (72) are included (see also http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave%20Windows%20binaries/Octave%203.6.2%20for%20Windows%20Microsoft%20Visual%20Studio/) however after the installation finished, for both of the two versions the only package installed is "java" (found by executing "pkg list" and double checking folder Octave-3.6.2\share\octave\packages)

Why are 70+ packages missing? How can I install them? There is no specific comment in the wiki on this (http://wiki.octave.org/Octave_for_Windows#Octave_with_Visual_Studio) so I assume they should be included and are excluded by mistake? What is the last working version?

HELP!!!!

Thanks,
Ingmar
