The reason is that I already have C code working properly with Matlab and
the C/C++ API provided.. I wanted to try to switch to OCTAVE. I saw this old
engine module in the forge library and started to look at it.. there were
almost the same functions, but a few were missing. 
I thought was easier to interact with (= loading and recovering variables
from) an Octave session.
