Here <http://octave.sourceforge.net/index.html>   is explained how to do it:

/To install a package, use the pkg command from the Octave prompt by typing:

pkg install -forge package_name

where package_name is the name of the package you want to install. /

But, after having downloaded NURBS package and placed Octave view in its
folder, installation fails:

/>>> pkg install -forge nurbs
warning: file -forge does not exist
warning: file nurbs does not exist/

How can I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Which OS? Which build? (eg if the first answer is windows, the second becomes multiple choice: mingw, msvc)
