Trouble loading packages, wrong path

Hi,
I'm running Octave 3.6.2 on windows and get an error when loading certain
packages. I have installed Octave in C:\Octave and can see the packages in
"C:\Octave\share\octave\packages" but both geometry and mechanics have two
files in the directory, PKG_DEL and PKG_ADD that the others don't. When I try
to load these packages with "pkg load geometry" I get errors like:

warning: addpath:
C:\Octave\share\octave\packages\\packages\geometry-1.4.1\geom2d: No such file
or directory

The other packages without those two files load fine. I looked at the files to
try and figure out how to remove the extra "\packages\" but I was not able to
figure it out. I can manually add the paths, but it is annoying each time I
start Octave.

Can anyone help with looking into those two files or providing a quick work
around? I can copy and paste the code for the files if that is helpful.

Thanks,
Stuart
