Does any other editor comesup when you type "edit" ? If yes, which editor is
it ?

Can you verify with windows explorer that notepad++ is really installed in
C:/Notepad++/ ? Usually it is installed under C:/Program
File(x86)/Notepad++/ under windows 7 x64.

What does getenv('EDITOR') returns ?
