Thanks for your reply.
About depmode. I was thinking that was a program... aplying
incorrectly sudo apt-get install build-dep octave

So I did:
# sudo apt-get build-dep octave
# make clean && ./bootstrap && ./configure && make

and here's the ouput error:

Something bad with lex.cc & lex.ll
Seems to be missing a library

Now I will try a new hg clone of sources and try again (instead of
using make clean)
