Copyfile error

I am using copyfile('f1','f2') to copy a file to a folder. I keep getting
the following error:
octave-3.6.2.exe:18> copyfile('temp_profile.m','bkp_temp_profile.m')
Cannot perform a cyclic copy
ans = 1
I have tested the rename() function and this works but i cannot copy.
