"apt-cache policy octave" gives

address@hidden:~$ apt-cache policy octave
octave:
  Installed: 3.6.1-1ubuntu1ppa1~precise1

"sudo apt-get install octave" does not work, giving

address@hidden:~$ sudo apt-get install octave
