I used mingw gcc 4.7.0.I'v able to compile almost all the dependencies from
http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/doc/interpreter/External-Packages.html
here except HDF5.HDF5 gave me an build error on building some of those test
executable.I used a patch from
http://www.digipedia.pl/usenet/thread/15809/3624/ here and built all except
something called vfd.exe .Also GraphicsMagic library failed some test
too.Any way Other things compiled without a problem.

I'm just trying to build this out of curiosity and for fun too.
I'm thinking the previous error happened because of some error with my MinGW
installation.I'm going to re-install MinGW,rebuild every dependence from
source and try again with your instructions.
