unable to install octcdf with octave 3.6.2 on scientific linux 6.1

I am experiencing some problems when trying to install octcdf 1.1.5 with octave 3.6.2 on scientific linux 6.1

In a first time I successfully installed octave 3.6.2 from the sources (installation in /opt for every users). The latest version available in the rpm is 3.4.

Then I downloaded octcdf and tried running:
octave:1> pkg install -global octcdf-1.1.5.tar.gz

I've got:
sh: ./configure: Permission non accordée
the configure script returned the following error:
error: called from `pkg>configure_make' in file /opt/octave/3.6.2/share/octave/3.6.2/m/pkg/pkg.m near line 1373, column 9
error: called from:
error:   /opt/octave/3.6.2/share/octave/3.6.2/m/pkg/pkg.m at line 827, column 5
error:   /opt/octave/3.6.2/share/octave/3.6.2/m/pkg/pkg.m at line 383, column 9

I opened the archive to see if the file configure was executable and it is;

Then I tried executing with a download from forge
octave:1> pkg install -forge -global octcdf

The result was very similar:

sh: ./configure: Permission non accordée
the configure script returned the following error:

Does any one can give a hint about the problem? I suspect a problem of installation of ocatve 3.6.2. I looked in to the file pkg.m for a hint, but I wasn't successful.
