GUIOctave is not free software and thus is not endorsed by Octave developers,
if you are not happy with how it works please complain to its author.

We would not be able to correct issues with GUIOctave even if wanted to as we 
do not have access to the source code.

On the other hand there is work going on to add a a GUI to Octave itself.
