fail to compile mercurial code due to regex-match.cc error

hi list

I recently did an "hg pull" and octave no longer
compiles on my ubuntu box. The compilation aborted
with the following message:

make[3]: *** No rule to make target `regex-match.cc', needed by 
`liboctave_la-regex-match.lo'.  Stop.
make[3]: Leaving directory `.../Libraries/octave/liboctave'
make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
...

I did a "make clean", and reran autogen.sh and configure,
I was still getting this error.

Anyone knows a fix?
