I mostly do statistics/econometrics in STATA, but use Octave for plotting and
simulation. I also use it for statistics with huge datasets, larger than
stata will support.
I'm working on my dissertation at UC Berkeley, and I'm somewhere between a
development economist and an environmental scientist.
