emacs octave mode.

Hello 

I try to switch from matlab to octave. I have to say that
matlab-mode is superior to octave-mode. 

    - The feature I miss most is running octave region-wise.

    -  one problem is that for may operations I obtain the
       following error:

WARNING: terminal is not fully functional^M

That looks like a comint problem but I am not sure. I have never
seen anything like this is matlab-mode.

Is anybody interested in developing or collaborating in the
development of octave-mode? I already started, but the issue is
complicated and I don't know enough of the details of comint.el
