Have you to delete by time this history???

If you are worried that it will grow without bounds, it won't---the history is only 1024 commands long, and drops the oldest commands. This length can be changed by modifying settings of the readline library, but I am not sure whether you'd do it in the ~/.inputrc file or
via octave initialization.
