This (edit.m issue) already happened in Tatsuro's 3.3.90 MingW binary.(I didn't bother at the time to report that (perhaps I should have), mostly because I couldn't do much with that binary anyway. It couldn't install octave-forge packages that I need in my daily work; testing in real life situation always reveals the most bugs.)
