Hello, I tried to install octave-forge statistics package 1.0.10 in Octave 3.3.52 (ubuntu). I have a warning message during package installation : warning: function /home/beilin/octave/statistics-1.0.10/prctile.m shadows a cor e library function warning: function /home/beilin/octave/statistics-1.0.10/fstat.m shadows a core library function /tmp/octave-help-sguyD6:59: { égarée ou mal placée. /tmp/octave-help-sguyD6:59: } égarée ou mal placée. warning: gen_doc_cache: unusable help text in 'boxplot'. Ignoring function. warning: function /home/beilin/octave/statistics-1.0.10/prctile.m shadows a cor e library function warning: function /home/beilin/octave/statistics-1.0.10/fstat.m shadows a core library
function When I use the hist_fit function, I get an error message because normal_pdf.m is missing. It seems that this function is deprecated. I found normal_pdf.m in the deprecated functions folder. I put it in my working dir. I now get a message telling me that I should use normpdf instead of normal_pdf. Does anyone knows if there will be a new release of statistics package or maybe I should use something else ? Best regards , Jacques |
