I want to analyze a sound file I recorded in a hall and compute for the reverberation time of the hall. How can I do that in Octave?
To make a precise calculation of the reverberation time you need to deduce the impulse response of the room. It's not enough with any recording, although sometimes the IR can be (approximately) deduced from a recording. Check a previous post by me.
