This worked. Much, much thanks! The 'edit mode async' command appears to be
key, as I had previously attempted
>>'edit editor "Emacs %s"
>>'edit'
before posting (as per Octave's instructions) and nothing happened. Emacs
now appears in terminal.
One thing I noticed is that the previous commands do not permanently set
Emacs to run when 'edit' is input each session. Nevertheless, this will work
fine. Again, thank you.
