Well, does Burger King promote McDonalds by offering functionally
equivalent food? Your statement only makes sense in the context of
Octave possibly increasing the market share of the Matlab language.
Actually, I mention to the Mathworks people every time I see them
that it would be in their long-term interest to coordinate and maybe
even sponsor Octave. Currently they pretend they can't see it.
