Hello

I have been maintaining the below page for longer than two years
 http://wiki.octave.org/wiki.pl?OctaveForWindows

The wiki sever maintainer can recover the site not by me.

The page describe download address, contents of the package, and special note
for installing.

The download site is
http://octave.sourceforge.net/
For convenience Octave-Forge supplies pre-built installers for Octave:
        Windows installer (Octave and Octave-Forge)

You can download the octave installer.

The most important notice is the oct2mat octave-forge component. This is only
for matlab users who
want use script file which is written for the octave but not octave.

If you are planning to use it, uncheck it when selecting it at the octave-forge
installing.

If you want use it, please make the package not autoload.

You start octave and execute 'pkg rebuild -noauto oct2mat' and restart octave.
If you want use the oct2mat package, 'pkg load oct2mat' after you finished to
use it, please unload
the oct2mat package by 'pkg unload oct2mat'

Regards
