Install Image package on Mac OS X

Hi,
I tired to install the image package for Octave. 
I installed Octave 3.2.3 from a .dmg file. 
I installed ImageMagick-6.6.3
I downloaded image-1.0.10  from source forge.

After I tried to install the package as it is explained 
http://octave.sourceforge.net/index.html here .

And it doesn't work. I have this error:


octave-3.2.3:11> pkg install /Users/me/Downloads/image-1-1.0.13.tar

Does anybody have an idea to install this package that I really need?
I already found similar questions on the forum and I tried some of them
(those I understood) but without any success! 
So if you could help me that would be great!
