Thanks, Jordi, for the quick reply.
Somehow, after closing and opening the program, the new folder is now listed by the 'path' command in Octave. Without understanding how I've succceeded, I'm on to having more advanced problems...

They're text files. Open them in your text editor of choice. Notepad++
seems like a popular choice on Windows.
