 subplot(10,1,[1 2]), plot([0 1],[0 1])
 hold on
 subplot(10,1,[3 4]), plot([0 1],[0 1])
 subplot(10,1,[5 6]), plot([0 1],[0 1])
 subplot(10,1,[7 8 9 10]), plot([0 1],[0 1])

After typing, I realised I could have done (5, 1, ...
