Is there a simple way to read an arbitrary .gif image (with an arbitrary
number of frames) into Octave? The function imread() is the immediate
answer, and it works for static images, i.e. .jpg, .png, etc, but I can't
find any documentation stating how it deals with .gifs. Thanks.
