I got 'panic: Illegal instruction -- stopping myself...'
with something as simple as row*matrix. e.g. :
octave --eval "a=zeros(2), v=[0,0], v*a"
The system is
Debian Linux i386, octave 3.2.4-4 libatlas3gfbase 3.8.3-21
Other m-scripts (without row x matrix ) works well.
Maybe a hardware failure?
