This is also an option (one I will probably use in the end). While I
have 'ssh' available on my laptop I do find browsers to be more easily
available. So, it would be great to be able to check the status of a job
and so forth from practically any computer (or phone these days).
Octave-in-the-browser would allow you to do so.

You could also reverse the situation and say somebody (not me) could be
interested in offering people easy access (as in no installation or
maintenance required) to Octave. They could then charge people by how
much CPU power they use.

Of course this is pure fantasy, but all I'm saying is that
Octave-in-the-browser could be interesting.
