I've been very happy with Scilabs Sc1
color, auto indent, use it for C++, too
it's small and fast and doesn't insinuate itself all through my OS
When in a hurry, I even use it to open ?? files that may be binaries, not
text just to quickly check.
For me, it has the most intuitive UI I've found.
