multibandread

Hi there,

I'm a new user of Octave and had a question about the function 
"multibandread."  This function works in Matlab, but is apparently missing 
from Octave.  I tried installing the image package into Octave, but still no 
luck.  Does anyone have any advice about whether it's possible to get this 
function?
