Yes, but be careful, 4.3.2 which you can bring in via the repo, will not compile Octave 3.2. I'm looking at it, it may be the way it was built, or it just may be a problem with 4.3.2, don't know. Jaroslav indicated earlier he had used a 4.3.1 version successfully. I have tried with 4.3.3 and 4.4.0 w/o any problems and with the test harness 100% passing with a 4.3.3 build of: Configured with: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/gcc-4.3.3 --with-as=/usr/sfw/bin/gas --with-gnu-as --with-ld=/usr/ccs/bin/ld --without-gnu-ld --enable-languages=c,c++,fortran --enable-shared Thread model: posix gcc version 4.3.3 (GCC) Jim ////////////////////////////// Jaroslav Hajek wrote: On Sat, Jun 13, 2009 at 1:36 AM, address@hidden<address@hidden> wrote:I tried to build octave 3.2 on opensolaris 2009.06, and I got this message: configure: error: g++ version 3.4.3 will probably fail to compile Octave How can get around this?
