Yes, of course it makes sense to write a paper about your
contributions to Octave.
My point was that writing a paper that consists of bug reports is
stupid. Especially since I don't think they contacted us first to
even ask whether we considered the behavior intentional, or just a bug
that would be fixed (probably relatively promptly).
